    Hey Monster

You make a very valid point. We have had legal advice on this subject and as a result EVERY comment which is made is moderated by us. We get heaps of comments everyday and most of them are ok but let me give you an example of what makes it and what doesn't.

Reviewer A wrote "my friends and I went to xyz Chinese restaurant for dinner last Friday night. The service was slow and we didn't really enjoy our meal at all."

This one "A" made it through.

Reveiwer B wrote " My wife and I went to xyz Steakhouse for dinner. The pepper sauce on my steak tasted like it had been mixed in the chefs ulcer infested mouth and the waitress was so far up herself  that we thaought it might have been Paris Hilton in a very ugly disguise."

    This one "B" got canned.

A review system is going to be worthless if it only has positive comments, but at the same time negative comments have to be objective and not defamatory. Can anyone say that thay are happy with all the goods and services they have ever purchased? No. Are we allowed to voice our opinion in a civilised manner? Yes.

In answer to your second comment, ANY listing be it Premium or Free may request that NO comments are posted about their business. We won't however accomodate those businesses which request that only POSTIVE comments are allowed on their listing, and YES, we have had several such requests.

    Regards

Hi dekrazee1 - the response has been really good. We've also got Advertorials running on WIN (on the Susie Show ) around the country and that has been even more effectiveXP

By the way, we've streamlined the home page to make it less "busy" when you land (got rid of the middle 3 ads directly under the search bar). Not so flashy now.

    Hi Mick

We've had a couple of people say that. I'm pleased to announce that we heard you, and the alpha is now down, rather than across.:)

    Hi Kasta

We constantly stay in touch with all the major email servers ensuing we stay on their white lists. That said, a lot of quotes still go unanswered. We do have a policy of quote follow ups when this happens, but with over 10,000 quote requests per day we can only cover so much. Often a business will tell us that they would rather a phone call from the customer. We do however find that businesses with their own websites are almost 100% certain to answer quotes. IT still has a long way to go in Australia. Just last week I attended a small business seminar in Parramatta where a surprising amount of participants rated the internet as their least important priority in attracting new business. It seems a lot of business people still have to dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century.

The guys worked on a public holiday to get it loaded - glad you like it! The idea is the narrow column of text should make it easier to read, and you get to make that first impression:). New area for the logo too - I think it looks much more professional.

    Hi karma

The BIG advantage of being a Premium listing is the ability to be at the front of any relevant search results. Add to this muliple categories, your choice of geographic coverage and an email blast of your "special offer" coupon to a 50,000+ opt in data base and the value is more than there.

The "more info" page is there to give dLook users a better search experience. While I agree with you that it does give "Free" listings more strength, it also gives the user another reason to use the dLook product. Add to this the fact that the big 3 search engines give a much higher priority to sites who supply more relevant info on the search topic. The SEO value of the "more info" page is pure gold and also ensires that more visitors find the dLook site meaning the Premium listings who are getting maximum exposure, get even more hits.
