Day after day, Alone on the hill, The man with the foolish grin is keeping perfectly still, But nobody wants to know him, They can see that he's just a fool, And he never gives an answer, But the fool on the hill Sees the sun going down, And the eyes in his head, See the world spinning 'round.please note: I have no affiliation with Tangler - I just enjoy playing the fool!
On a Hill
Fool
"Nowhere Man" has taken some steps towards a directory of Groups for Tangler... but he's missing the most important point...
The proper usage for a directory is to "Lead Away" and not to "Lead To".
No one will ever use the directory if it is stand alone and drifting in the region of lost Groups (for who would ever think to look for a directory of Groups about Education such as Knot of Education ?) But if we take the simple step - like this - of putting a back link in the Group itself to the directory... not only will it be found but it will be used!

"Personally, I wanted a system for massively parallel creative work and study; more grandly, I sought to design the rightful literature and art canvas of the future, creating a technical, legal and commercial basis for a worldwide populist and participatory electronic literature of freely weaving screen transmedia -- a republishable and quotable without restriction -- to the betterment of human understanding and freedom of expression and access. What better dream at 23? And still a good idea."
Ted Nelson: (1995) "The Heart of connection: hypermedia unified by transclusion." Communications of the ACM, 38 (8)
