  Not for a long time, and probably in a good way. If people have that record, they are going to want tools that leverage that that make their life better. We can leverage that info to provide better diagnosis differentials and next steps.

  Usability

  There are lots of algorithms that run on top of the data in the database that result in personalized results. Basically there are a large number of different probabilities that need to be combined given who you are (gender,age, etc). Also, for the web search sections (diagnoses, drugs, etc) we will be rolling a lot semantic datamining results. The more marketing speak of this is:

  "MEDgle is powered by its extensive physician inputed and reviewed expert system cross connecting 7000 symptoms, 2000 diagnoses, ages, gender, lifestyle and more. This expert system is a combination of over 9GB of data and domain specific algorithms."

  Instinctive first thoughts

  1. Instead of just getting a list of results, with MEDgle the results are presented in a descending order of likelyhood. Also, the information about each search result includes the general prevalence and common symptoms to help you understand the result better.

  2. Lot easier to enter multiple symptoms

  3. Level of personalization (smoking, overweight) is a great deal higher, and these can significantly impact the order of results.

  In a couple of weeks we hope be launching some more stuff.

  Also, if you have any ideas/suggestions on how we can be better, or what features would be very helpful/cool .... please do comment.

  How would you use it and how often?

  will get the physicians to check that out to make sure we have the probabilities right... the first four seem to have the same score.... but will look into it.
