Not for longer than a few seconds anyway.  Then you asphyxiate and potentially explode.

  • Helpful Error messages

It seems that in the last week or so Twitter replaced their LOLCat error messages with non-funny bird-themed ones.  Twitter has definitely put itself firmly into the "bird" iconography camp.

  • OpenId

I use OpenID, and like and support it, but it's not a make or break thing for me compared to a lot of dev stuff once I sign up.  It would be a nice bonus when it happens, though!

  • Are You watching TV?

I generally watch shows on DVR, although two US shows on NBC -- Heroes and Friday Night Lights -- became old-style appointment television for me as I could hardly wait for them to come on each week.  Although I agree that networks have been generally pretty poor for all of the reasons you mentioned -- though, to be fair, it's pretty demanding work to put together 23 hours of well-produced television every year, especially in the HD era -- I've come to enjoy those shows quite a bit.  I'm probably watching a little less TV than I otherwise would have.  Sometimes it feels like I watch more, though, because with DVRs I've come to not have much patience for "background" television that I'd half-watch for several hours while doing other work or chores.  I tend to have my attention much more invested in the shows I watch.
