  Gestion suppressions

  Bitoune, dans la version actuelle, vous pouvez choisir combien de versions garder. Dans une future version vous allez pouvoir sélectionner aussi combien de temps sauvegarder les fichiers effaces sur le PC. Et non, nous ne communiquons pas sur les dates, sorry.

  Pour quand les nouvelles mise à jour du logiciel Steekup ?

  Bonjour Ayor,
  
   J’ai fait les tests sur mon Mac et je peux reproduire les problèmes.
  
   1. Caractères bizarroïdes dans le panneau start-up items. Comme solution temporaire, je te recommande d'ajouter steekUP dans la liste manuellement (via drag-and-drop, button plus ou click droit sur l'icon steekUP dans le Dock sous Tiger). Ça marche seulement si tu désactives l’option dans steekUP auparavant.
  
  2. Paramètres non sauvegardés. Aparament, c’est sont les options de planification qui ne sont pas sauvegardées. On corrige dès que possible.

  Je les ai rapportés à nos équipes Support et QA. Désolé pour la gêne occasionnée, et merci de nous avoir contactés.
  Non, vraiment, on apprécie.

  SteekUP for Mac

  Thomas, not sure what you mean with "backup matters", but the steekR Drive software for Mac is a full-featured uploader, similar to the one on Windows. Regarding the Finder integration, it will come eventually, but it's not as easy as it sounds.

  Link to shared items

  Hi Thomas,

   the contact selection and mailing step of the sharing process is optional. Just click next and you will be presented with the link, ready to send out by IM or whatever. 

  You can't currently secure the shares with a password, but the URL's are mangled so they can't be easily discovered. Just don't give them out?

  On steekR, you can have as many drop boxes as you want, easily. When you share a folder, you can choose to set it as Editable. That's it.

  Backup capability on paid accounts with Steekr

  Dave, while you can use steekR to do automatic backups, it's not exactly what it was made for. The steekR platform is for browsing your stuff remotely and for sharing selected files with others.

  If you want a reliable backup solution, with built-in restoration, archiving feature, multi-source support and more, you'd want to check out steekUP. It has a trial period of 3 months, which should be more than enough to test the product.

  For the backup mechanism, we're using redundant hard-drive storage with fail-over backups, like all the cool kids these days

  Interesting point with the data DVD's. We don't offer that today, but we'll consider it.

  Unable to upload on Steekr

  Hi VJ, steekR works quite well with most proxies and firewalls. No special port or protocol is used.

  We know however, that some corporate firewalls with mighty content-specific filter may interfere with steekR. It may be your case. Can you ask your sysadmin?
