  • Learning Rails?

Nice I'm going to check out the PDF booklet.  I agree that peepcodes rock.  I assume you are referring to this - http://peepcode.com/products/draft-rails-code-review-pdf

The link adder thingy in tangler isn't working - I keep getting "this plugin isn't loaded" when trying to add a link.

  • Rails Hosting

We've got a big machine (dedicated tons of memory lots of bandwidth) and are adding several more.  We're always looking for collaborators working on cool things , so email me 9 [at]fivenin.es, maybe we could find ways to help each other out.  We didn't have any luck on the really low cost setups trying to get something that would work for commercial apps.  I do think you can spend in the $79 a month range and up to $125 with a good VPS solution with someone who knows rails (I have a good referral here pricing wise), and then up from there with big iron db server and one or two inexpensive web servers.

  • Rails open source apps

redMine is installed and working and it's really incredible.  a great free opens source rails bug tracking, preoject management and issues tracking system.  it even has version control integrated into the web interfece.  hat's off to those guys!  it has email notifications and most of the features you'd expect in more expensive paid for solutions.Smile

  • Rails plays well with others

Are you combining rails with python for hardcore networking, scala lift for procedural code, assembly and C deep down on the server to get what you want?  Let's hear about it.

  • Ruby on Rails Hosting for shared, VPS and dedicated

Who has had good experiences with Ruby on Rails hosts?  Starting from shared hosting through to dedicated with flexibility on gems, RESTful Rails, and Mongrel 2.2 cluster.  Any specifics would be great.
