  • Player Removal System

I have to agree with Bert, the majority vote was bad. I had a 3 player game where two of the players did not log on for over 45 days. Personally, I think that if you make a commitment to play a turn in the agreed time period and fail to do so, any of the other players should have that option. I have played in games where I have not voted someone out because I knew they were going to play, and they have not voted me out for the same reason. But if you fail to live up to your agreed upon commitment then how can you complain? Just one person's opinion.

  • Quitting a game without surrender

I have had the same problem only the game is in round 6 and the current play has not played in 35 days 12 hours 18 Minutes. Player number 2 has not logged on in 34 days 1 hours 26 Minutes. It sure would be nice to have someone take care of this problem. I have determined that I am not going surrender because some people decided to try WeeWar and not finish their games. Luckly, with the new changes comming it will not be a problem in the future, but is would be nice to clean up some of these messes.

  • test server

I have to agree with Clowntrigger. I have been in systems for twenty some years and software quality control has always been a huge part of my duties. Unit testing is always the first step in the testing phase of the system development life cycle. Then integration testing to insure that all the units work together correctly. Finally, user testing both of the previous stages allows the software to be “tore up” by the end users. End users come up with stuff I would never expect someone to try. During this entire life cycle, the test, review, and repair mode is cycled through several times. So by playing games like in the real world for playability was needed as well. I know we set up scenarios testing the values and predictability of various units, timing of the new features (such as vote off's, etc), and other new features we were asked to test. I also agree that is was a ton of fun to do this testing. Weewar is a great concept and it was my pleasure to assist in some small measure. To quote Clowntrigger “thanks for giving us a chance.”

  • Feedback and comments on test #2

Ditto on the AA guns, they are pretty much useless.

  • One little nitpick

That would be indeed a nice feature to invite a person from their profile!

  • Feature request: Multilevel undo

While I would like a mutilple undo, I have to agree that it is not a good idea. My thoughts are that you would be able to try out several scenarios to see which would yield the best result. This in my mind takes away from the strategy aspect of the game. By not being able to "see" into the future it creates more risk and therefore requires careful planning. I do not see it as an advantage to one side or the other, but weaking of the game.

  • Test Server - Maps & Map Editor Thread

I have tried the map editor and think it work pretty good. I am just not good at developing maps:)

  • Test Server - New units

I have to agree with the jets being way too powerful.

  • Looking for players to test the latest

I agree with the tags that RoamingB mentioned, they are great. My only negative observaton is that the system allowed you to set the time limit for moving, but never displayed it on the game screen. Something like "Maximum time between moves for this game is:" Another idea would be to display the time the current user has to move. So if the game is a 10 minuet move limit it might have "User X has 8 minuets left to move." Overall great Weewar is a great concept and is moving in a very positive direction.

  • I lost a game because I was voted off...

Just to follow up to my previous post it has been 6 days, 18 hours since the player who's turn has not signed in or made a move. The other player has not signed on for 5 days and 7 hours. Is surrender my only option to end this crazy problem?
