yes more badges of honor will lead to more indiscriminate noob slaughter on Aruba, getting booted 1 minute past time deadline, two (or three) players ganging up for a win, drone opponents and other lame attempts to puff up ones chest.

yes 4x4 would be fun, but only when teams are implemented, thing of the zoc issues before then.

It would seem that with terrain (mountains, forest) H infs could eventually dent a Zerk, especially using the "gang up bonus".
I find a few H arts will weaken it substantially. Then another Zerk can attack it once it is weakened and gain the advantage in the "duel".

Ya strange , I dont find Hovercraft too strong. I use them when terrain dictates it and for capturing.

Why do games have to be started?
Folks can be impatient. Often when they log on and join a game they want to get their weewars jones on. So when they join a game they want it to take off right away.
Then there is the matter of ones HQ being near capacity, so if you only have 1 slot open and you want to play NOW, then you want to enter a game with active players.
Bottom line, this is not the best game for the impatient.
